Welcome to Matangi Resort Island Resort Fiji. Our Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and manage your personal information to safeguard your privacy and provide transparency. By using our services, you agree to this policy. We prioritize protecting your data in all interactions with us, following strict privacy practices and complying with relevant data protection laws to ensure confidentiality and security.


Why do we collect your personal information ?

Collecting your information is essential for us to provide our products and services to you. It also helps us to understand your needs, enabling us to provide you with a greater quality of service.


How do we collect personal information ?

We only collect information when you knowingly provide it. Collection may include requesting information by phone, filling out a registration form on check-in, providing your business card to us, or e-mailing or faxing us your details.


Do we disclose your personal information to anyone ?

We may disclose your personal information where you have consented to us doing so. We may also be required or authorised by law to disclose your personal information.


Is your personal information up-to-date ?

It is important that the personal information we collect is accurate, complete and up-to-date. You can contact us at any time to update your personal information, or to tell us if your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Deposit and Final Payment

A non-refundable deposit of US$1,000 per bure is required to secure a booking. Final payment is due 45 days before arrival. For bookings made within 45 days of arrival, full payment is required to secure a booking.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and wire transfers. Merchant fees apply: Visa and Mastercard are 3.5%, and American Express is 3.6%. For payment via wire transfer, please email the resort for banking information.

Cancellations

For cancellations 46 or more days before arrival, the non-refundable deposit applies. For cancellations between 45 and 21 days of arrival, a cancellation penalty equivalent to 50% of the total cost of the stay applies. For cancellations less than 21 days of arrival, a cancellation penalty equivalent to 100% of the total cost of the stay applies. No credit or refund will be given for no-shows or unused nights due to delayed arrival or premature departure. Cancelled or unused prepaid packages and services are not refundable or transferable. Credit card merchant fees are non-refundable.

The above booking terms and conditions do not apply to group bookings. For group booking pricing, terms and conditions, please email the resort.

Rates

Matangi Island is an adults-only resort. Rates are in US Dollars per night for two adults, excluding Fiji government tax. Matangi Island Resort reserves the right to adjust rates due to events beyond its control.

Rates include accommodation, all meals, welcome amenities, spa barefoot ritual, daily maid service, evening turndown service, laundry service, daily snorkelling excursions, and a variety of non-motorised and cultural activities. Complimentary Wi-Fi connectivity is available only in our dining room.

Rates do not include round-trip car and boat transfers from Taveuni Island’s Matei Airport, beverages (non-alcoholic and alcoholic), minibar, motorised activities, scuba diving, light tackle sport fishing, spa services, picnics in Horseshoe Bay, private candlelit dinners, day tours to Taveuni Island, or other incidental items.

Insurance

Travel insurance is not a mandatory requirement for entry into Fiji; however, as you will need to make several flight connections and ground transfers, comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover additional costs that are likely to arise due to trip interruptions, delayed or lost baggage, delayed arrival at the resort resulting in a loss of prepaid accommodation, meals and other services, or other circumstances.

Matangi will not be responsible for any charges or inconvenience that may occur due to events beyond its control, including, but not limited to, trip interruption, delayed or non-operation of flights or government quarantine in effect, border closures, cancellation, or issues related to lost, damaged or delayed baggage.

Due to Fiji’s remoteness and poor medical facilities and services available in the country, insurance, including emergency medical evacuation, is recommended. As a precaution, scuba divers should have appropriate cover with either PADI or DAN.
