        My wife and I had an amazing honeymoon at Matangi Private Island Resort. The island is beautiful, there are many activities to enjoy, the food and cocktails are fantastic, and the staff provides exceptional hospitality. The small number of guests at a time provides the perfect balance of privacy and a social community around meal times or excursions.         I don't generally leave reviews but felt compelled to do so in this case. Matangi is simply a paradise. Probably the best place I have ever stayed in the world. The staff are fantastic, the setting is divine, the food is delicious, the cocktails are perfect, the many experiences are all top drawer.         Absolutely an amazing place. From the moment you step off the boat, you are greeted by Sisi and the rest of the staff. Being a small private resort, they focus on remembering your name and making you feel right at home. My wife and another couple stayed 1wk here and had one of the best trips ever.         Everything about our visit was special. We expected to be treated like family by the wonderful Fijians because of our previous trips there. But they seemed even a bit more friendly and personable if that's possible. What we appreciated most was the smallness of the resort, which meant a lot of lone time, uncrowded excursions (especially the free twice-daily snorkelling trips) , and getting to know the other travellers. We also thought that their food was the best that we've ever had at a resort. The Fijians will leave a lasting impression on us. - Steve M
