Tavoro Waterfalls, Bouma National Heritage Park, Taveuni Island

Tavoro Falls, Fiji’s most famous waterfall, is at the gateway of the 15000 hectare Bouma National Heritage Park and is easily reached by a 10 minute walk from the main road into the rainforest.

Tavoro Waterfalls, the largest of the three waterfalls in the Bouma National Heritage Park, also has the largest swimming pool and is the perfect spot for a swim. The treks to the second and third waterfalls involve several steep slopes and creek crossings. An individual in good health should have no trouble at all. Hiking shoes and a bottle of water are essential. Matangi provides a guide, lunch, and refreshments.

The round-trip car and boat transfers from Matangi Island cost FJD 250 (approx. USD 114) per person. This charge will be added to your room tab.

Bouma National Park charges an entrance fee of FJD 50 (approx. USD 23) per person. Please note that Bouma National Park accepts only Fijian dollars. It does not accept credit or debit cards, and there are no ATMs or cash-out facilities in the Park. Currency exchange is available at Matangi's office.

*Group tours run on Thursdays. Private tours on non-scheduled days can be arranged. Additional charges may apply if there are fewer than four people. Prices include Fiji government tax and are subject to change without notice due to events that may affect pricing.
