Coconut Hair and Scalp Treatment
A cocktail of fresh coconut milk, bush herbs, and hibiscus is gently massaged into the scalp for a deep nourishing treatment.

Fijian Scalp Massage
Warm coconut oil is gently massaged on the shoulders, neck and head to restore balance and promote deep relaxation.

Foot Reflexology
Reflexology works on the principle that all body organs are connected to reflex points in the feet via constantly flowing energy channels. Massaging these points restores natural energy flow, promoting overall health.

Light Legs Treatment
This ritual starts with cleansing the feet and legs with coconut milk, a gentle exfoliation with brown sugar infused with virgin coconut oil and a lymphatic massage with coconut body butter.

Mini Facial
A potent infusion of active botanicals and antioxidants will boost hydration levels and nourish the complexion. At the same time, a facial massage will stimulate lymphatic drainage points, refreshing the face and promoting a calm, radiant appearance.

Opening hours: Our opening hours are 9:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m., with the first treatment commencing at 9:30 a.m. and the last 60-minute treatment commencing at 5:00 p.m. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your first appointment to allow enough time for a briefing with your therapist and to sign a waiver. For every appointment, arriving five minutes prior is sufficient. Late attendance may reduce your treatment time.

How to book: We recommend booking your spa service in advance so that you can secure your preferred time. This is especially important as most treatments require some preparation time by our therapists. If you need to cancel your spa service, please let the spa therapists know as soon as possible before your set appointment time.

What to wear: To enhance your spa experience, we recommend taking a warm shower before your appointment. You can then come to the spa in the bathrobe provided in your bure. If you don’t have the time to do this before your spa appointment, you will be allowed to disrobe in the spa in privacy. During your services, your body will be draped with linens. Disposable underwear will be made available to you before all body treatments. For your comfort and safety, we ask that you remove all jewellery, including your watch, before your spa treatment.

Charges: All prices include 15% Value Added Tax. All charges will be added to your Room Tab. Cash is not accepted. Matangi Private Resort reserves the right to amend prices if changes in Fiji Government taxes occur.

Gratuities: If you want to leave a gratuity, we encourage you to donate to the Staff Gratuity Fund at the front office on your checkout. This fund is distributed quarterly to all staff members, ensuring everyone working tirelessly to make Matangi the special place it is is rewarded.

Nama Hydrating Facial

Nama (Caulerpa racemosa) is a unique species of seaweed that grows wild in the pristine blue lagoon waters of the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. Because of its high concentration of essential minerals and vitamins A, C, and E, Nama is known as the "longevity seaweed". It keeps our skin hydrated by promoting intracellular (within-cell) hydration and increasing cellular metabolism to counteract ageing.

Pure Fiji Royal Milk & Honey Treatment

Fijian Bobo Massage

The traditional Fijian Bobo (pronounced ‘mm-bombo’) is a sacred healing art believed to be passed down through the family lines of natural healers. The rhythmic techniques are unique to each therapist and use the elbows and forearms to penetrate deep into muscle tissue, releasing chronic tension.

Matangi Healing Bush Herb Massage

Our signature massage combines virgin coconut oil with traditional healing bush herbs to promote deep relaxation. Your therapist will use a range of traditional Fijian massage techniques to personalise your treatment to your body and wellness needs.

Hot Stone

Smooth, water-heated basalt stones are placed at key points on the body to release blocked energy. Nourishing virgin coconut oil turns the hot stones into a highly effective massage tool. They allow the therapist to access deeper muscle layers as she massages with long, flowing strokes across the body. The stones' heat has a soothing effect that can relieve chronic pain and promote deep relaxation.
