Certified Scuba Diving

Our daily dive programme for certified scuba divers includes two morning dives after breakfast, with a surface interval either on the dive boat or at a nearby beach. Refreshments, including coffee, tea, water, juice, fruit and cookies, are served during the surface interval.

Horseshoe Bay Picnic

There isn’t anything quite like a romantic picnic in the breathtaking Horseshoe Bay. Listed in “1,000 Places to See Before you Die” by Patricia Schultz, Horseshoe Bay is situated on the untouched western coast of Matangi Island and is accessible only by boat.

Somosomo Strait Day Dive Trip

Day dive trips to the more remote Somosomo Strait, where the world-famous Rainbow Reef and The Great White Wall are located, are possible, weather permitting, with a minimum of four divers.

Light tackle sport fishing

Due to the seabed's topography off Matangi and neighbouring islands, remarkable fighting fish such as Giant trevally, Yellowfin, Dogtooth, Skipjack, and Wahoo are plentiful.

Civa Pearl Farm, Wailoa Lagoon

Visit Taveuni Island’s only pearl farm, 7 miles west of Matangi Island. Enjoy a presentation on how pearls are seeded, cared for and harvested. Guided snorkelling in Wailoa Lagoon is also available. Pearls and pearl jewellery are available for sale on site.

Tavoro Falls, Fiji’s most famous waterfall, is at the gateway of the 15000 hectare Bouma National Heritage Park and is easily reached by a 10 minute walk from the main road into the rainforest.
