Matangi Private Island Resort Fiji - Bula

With Christmas just around the corner, the time has come again for all of us at Matangi Island to wish you and your families, Happy Holidays!

We have had the pleasure of sharing our island home with many wonderful folks this year, including returnee guests who consider Matangi Island as their Fiji home. Thank you to all of you for your wonderful support, Vinaka!

New Video

We were very fortunate this year to have Ralf & Sara from Veerdonk Visuals in Amsterdam create a wonderful short film on Matangi. When you have a moment, we invite you to view it. I’m sure some of you will recognise many of your Matangi friends in this video!

What’s New at Matangi

We are excited to have Josepf Ali return this year as Head Chef. Joseph has added some tasty new dishes to our gourmet options, and is absolutely thrilled with the variety of organic vegetables now being grown on the island.

Due to the wonderful feedback from guests on our food and to the many requests for recipes, Joesph and his team are now offering weekly cooking demonstrations at no charge to our guests. These cooking demonstrations are designed to show case our authentic Fijian food, heritage and culture in an informal and fun environment. Share with us on Facebook your favourite dishes at Matangi!

A Special Mention

We were very fortunate to recently have award winning freelance photojournalist Louise Murray at Matangi.

Here’s what Louise said about her visit…

"There's always so much to see diving around Matangi. Its a real pleasure to see healthy shark populations, great hard corals and of course the glorious colours of the soft corals that Fiji is so famous for. I'll be back for sure."

You can see more of Louise’s wonderful work at www.louisemurray.com
